Fugitive Lake County shooting suspects captured

Lake County authorities said Thursday they've captured two suspects wanted in connection with an Aug. 16 shooting that left two men injured in Zion.

Kyle Q. Wright, 22, of the 1700 block of Grove Avenue in North Chicago, and Darius M. Hill, 19, of the 2300 block of Joanna Avenue in Zion, were wanted on charges of armed robbery, aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated discharge of a firearm.

Two other men were charged in connection with the same shooting earlier this week.

Authorities say the victims - an 18-year-old man and a 25-year-old man - were shot near the area of 24th and Joppa streets, and then drove themselves to the Zion Police Department for help. Both remain hospitalized with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.

Wright was taken into custody Tuesday in Waukegan and is being held in the Lake County jail on $500,000 bail. Hill was arrested Wednesday in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and is awaiting extradition.
