Odd Fellows Lodge makes Rock the Fox a family event

Odd Fellows Lodge 492 brought back the Odd Fellows Rock the Fox Music Fest to Carpenter Park in Carpentersville this weekend.

The three-day festival started Friday and continues noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

“This is definitely a family-oriented event,” said lodge member Jeremy Soderstrom. “People love it. We have something to do for every age group.”

Festivalgoers will have a chance to see the walking trails and other improvements the village has added to Carpenter Park in the past two years.

“We're excited about this year,” Soderstrom said. “It's always been a beautiful park. Now, it's even better.”

The festival is one of the biggest fundraisers for the lodge.

“This is the first year we've had a car show,” Soderstrom said about Sunday's noon to 4 p.m. show. “We're excited about it.”

Soderstrom said they made sure to include events for the entire family, such as different food vendors and carnival rides.
