Geneva

• Margaret R. Randles, 38, of the 2300 block of Vanderbilt Drive, Geneva, was charged with battery at 2:08 p.m. Aug. 7 at her home, police said. She is accused of slapping another woman, pushing her to the floor and grabbing her around the neck.

• Graffiti was found Aug. 8 on a railroad bridge support near Crissey Avenue.

• Collin H.J. Jacobs, 19, of the 6N700 block of Halsted Avenue, St. Charles Township, was charged with possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia at 9:02 p.m. Aug. 5 in the 400 block of North Randall Road, police said.

• Marcos D. Valdez, 18, of the 1000 block of Dearborn Avenue, Geneva, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and of cannabis at 10:35 p.m. Aug. 4 in the 1700 block of Commons Drive, police said.

• Someone put graffiti on a bridge underpass and a warning sign between 9 a.m. Aug. 4 and 1:59 p.m. Aug. 8 at Old Mill Park, 1 E. State St.

• Someone put graffiti on a sign and playground equipment at Bricher Park, 2323 Blackberry Drive, and on a fence of a house on the 500 block of North Cambridge Drive, it was reported to police at 3:44 p.m. Aug. 3.

• Eweart D. Rice-Picasso, 18, of the 1200 block of South Second Street, St. Charles, was charged at 12:24 a.m. Aug. 1 with the manufacture or delivery of a Schedule IV narcotic, on the 1700 block of West State Street, police said. He was also charged with manufacture or delivery of 30 to 500 grams of cannabis, possession of a controlled substance, possession of between 30 and 100 grams of cannabis -- first offense, improper display of vehicle registration, and driving with a cracked windshield.

• Someone slashed a banner and stole a rainbow flag and its pole from the yard at the First Congregational Church, 327 Hamilton St., on July 31. A church representative told police banners had also been stolen April 6 and June 1, and someone left a sign on the front door of the church that said "Promoting the homosexual agenda, disguised as an act of love is evil. Protect our children ... protect our future. Stop the decline into degeneracy."

Batavia

• A cellphone was stolen at Goodwill, 450 N. Randall Road, it was reported to police at 7:38 p.m. Saturday.

• Randy M. Ryder, 59, of the 1700 block of Felten Road, Aurora, was charged with possession of cannabis (fewer than 10 grams) at 4:49 p.m. Thursday on South Kirk Road, police said. He was also charged with driving while the vehicle's registration was suspended, driving while his license was suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and disobeying a traffic control signal.

• Robert S. Johnson, 37, of the 500 block of South Eighth Avenue, Maywood, was charged with retail theft at 1:45 p.m. Aug. 9 at Walmart, 801 N. Randall Road, police said.

• Someone stole $50 and a Social Security card out of a purse at Suncast Corp., 701 N. Kirk Road, it was reported to police at 2:58 p.m. Aug. 9.

• Sharon A. Mosley, 64, of the 200 block of Lincolnway, North Aurora, was charged with retail theft and retail theft -- previous conviction, Aug. 7 at Walmart, 801 N. Randall Road, police said.

• Zachary G. Geery, 36, of the 400 block of Illinois Avenue, Batavia, was charged with criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct at 5:08 p.m. Aug. 7 in the 100 block of West Wilson Street, police said.

• Someone stole $219 worth of items from Walgreens, 122 W. Wilson St., it was reported to police at 4:02 p.m. Aug. 3.

• Austin E. Bellm, 28, of the 700 block of Thorsen Lane, Batavia, was charged at 9:18 p.m. Aug. 2 with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis -- 10 to 30 grams, speeding 26 mph or more over the limit and illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, on Fabyan Parkway, police said.

• Juan J. Parras Jr., 47, of the 1100 block of Superior Street, Aurora, was charged with retail theft at 5:50 p.m. Aug. 1 at Walmart, 801 N. Randall Road, police said.

• Marissa M. Pimental, 19, of the 400 block of Oak Street, Aurora, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, retail theft and criminal trespass to a building at 4:13 p.m. July 29 at Kohl's, 251 N. Randall Road, police said.

• Joseph W. Farquhar, 19, of the 800 block of West Highland Drive, Elgin, was charged with retail theft -- previous conviction, and obstruction of identification, at 4:20 p.m. July 26 at Menards, 300 N. Randall Road, police said.
