Overdose awareness event Aug. 27 in Mundelein
The Family of Gabriel Franco and Live4Lali Inc. invite the public to the 4th annual Remembrance, Awareness, and Overdose Prevention Event from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, at New Hope Christian Fellowship, 1401 S. Lake St., Mundelein.
A resource fair starts at noon and will be held throughout the day. Speakers from the local, state and national level begin at 1 p.m., with a candlelight vigil and serenity prayer to follow.
The event is in support of 2017 International Overdose Awareness Day and community drug overdose prevention efforts.
