Arlington Heights police searching for man who approached underage girl

Arlington Heights police are looking for a man who offered a girl money in exchange for a sex act Sunday.

The unidentified man pulled his car over near the girl who was walking on the 700 block of East Rockwell Street around 2:15 p.m. and offered to give her money for the sex act, according to a police report. But the girl ignored the advancement and continued walking. The man left the scene in his vehicle, headed westbound on Rockwell.

The man was the sole occupant of the vehicle, and is described to be white, in his 20s or 30s with short brown hair, a brown beard and driving a newer model, red four-door sedan.
