2 homeowners displaced by Naperville garage fire

The owners of two Naperville homes were displaced by a garage fire Wednesday, officials say.

Naperville Firefighters responded at 6:11 p.m. to the 500 block of Springhill Circle, where a fire started in the attached garage of a single-family home, according to a news release from the Naperville Fire Department.

Firefighters put out the main fire in about 45 minutes, but the blaze spread to an adjacent house and displaced the residents of both homes, officials said.

No one was in either house at the time and no injuries were reported, according to the release.

An estimated value of damage was not immediately available.

A number of surrounding departments also responded to the fire. The cause remains under investigation.
