Maine Township hosting crime prevention seminar

A Cook County crime prevention seminar will be at Maine Township Town Hall, 1700 Ballard Road in Park Ridge, Monday, July 31, at 6 p.m.

"This is just one more in a series of initiatives to combat crime," said Township Supervisor Laura Morask. "We welcome participation by all of our citizens in addressing this issue because solutions to problems begin with awareness."

Other sponsors are Cook County Commissioner Peter Silvestri, state Rep. Michael P. McAuliffe and the Cook County sheriff's office.
