Hospital plan dropped from agenda

Discussion of a proposal for a psychiatric hospital in Vernon Hills has been removed from the village board's Tuesday, July 18, committee of the whole meeting agenda. US Healthvest is proposing a $20 million makeover of CDW's former administration building at 300 N. Milwaukee Ave., in the Continental Executive Parke for a 100-bed hospital providing specialized care to children, adolescents, adults and seniors. The company, which is seeking a change in zoning rules to allow hospitals to be permitted in a business district, asked the item be removed from the agenda. It has not been rescheduled.
