Disability Employment Awareness Award nominees sought

Arlington Heights' Commission for Citizens with Disabilities is seeking nominations for its Annual Disability Employment Awareness Award, honoring a local employer who proactively recruits, hires and employs people with disabilities.

Nominations can come from the community at large or from employers who believe they are worthy of such recognition, officials say.

The award will be presented at a village board meeting in October in recognition of Disability Employment Awareness Month.

Nomination forms are available at the Arlington Heights Health Services Department on the first floor of village hall, or at vah.org. Nominations will be accepted until Aug. 25.
