Des Plaines Elementary School District 62 hires assistant superintendent, assistant principal
Des Plaines Elementary District 62 has named a new assistant superintendent and assistant principal at Chippewa Middle School.
The school board Monday approved hiring Laura Sangroula as the assistant superintendent for instructional services, which oversees curriculum and instruction and the second language programs department.
She'll also oversee state and local assessments, developing the district calendar and materials adoption and management.
Sangroula starts July 1 and will be paid $148,000. She previously was the director of network support in the Chicago Public School system.
School board members also approving hiring Juliana Rohrlack Vissering as the assistant principal at Chippewa Middle School. She's been a math teacher in Evanston School District 65 for nearly a decade. Previously, Vissering worked in Chicago Public Schools and taught in Mali, Africa.
Vissering will start in August and be paid $85,000.
