Hit-and-run driver strikes cyclist in Glen Ellyn

A cyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash Thursday night in Glen Ellyn, authorities said Friday.

The cyclist, a 52-year-old Glen Ellyn woman, was riding south on Bryant Avenue, just south of Hill Avenue, about 8:30 p.m. when she was struck from behind, police said in a news release.

She was thrown from her bicycle. The victim was taken in a hospital in an ambulance, but her injuries were not considered life-threatening, police said.

Witnesses told authorities the vehicle was a silver or gray SUV or van with multiple stickers on the back. Police said it's possible the vehicle has front-end damage
