CLC honors 2017 graduates

More than 450 graduates participated in College of Lake County's 48th commencement ceremonies Saturday at the Grayslake campus.

A morning ceremony in the physical education center was held for transfer degrees and the afternoon ceremony was for associate of applied science degrees and certificates.

Cesilie Price, the CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Lake County, delivered the commencement address. CLC President Jerry Weber presented an Honorary Degree of Life Long Learning to Margaret (Peggy) McClain of Lake Villa.

CLC's Class of 2017 has 1,594 graduates who received degrees or certificates.

The youngest participating graduate was Valerie Jacksack, 17 of Libertyville, who received an Associate in Arts degree in sociology. The oldest participating graduate was Denise Moorehouse, 66, a Grayslake resident who received an Associate in General Studies degree.
