Elk Grove Township Supervisor welcomes third child
Elk Grove Township Supervisor Mike Sweeney and his wife, Monica, welcomed their third and perhaps final child this week.
Matthew Gabriel Sweeney was born Monday afternoon, weighing a healthy 7 pounds and 13 ounces. So far, he's been an easier baby than the family's two older children, his father said.
"He seems laid back," Sweeney said. "He just wants to eat and sleeps."
Matthew spent his first night at home Wednesday, and his siblings appear to be enjoying their new brother.
"His brother and sister are infatuated with him - they can't get enough of him," Sweeney said.
