CLC revenue less than projected so far

College of Lake County's revenue is less than expected for the 2016-17 financial year so far, officials said.

Ken Gotsch, vice president for administrative affairs, recently reported to board members that CLC revenue is slightly under budget because the college has not received its spring semester 2017 credit hour grant payment from the state of Illinois.

At the end of the third quarter, the college had received $63.7 million in revenue. About $65.4 million was expected and $64.4 million had been spent.

"In light of the state's continued budget impasse, CLC continues to monitor expenses closely by holding open vacant positions, reducing noninstructional expenses and identifying operational efficiencies," Gotsch said.
