Don't miss Illinois' largest luxury home tour, the Cavalcade Tour of Homes 2017, sponsored by the Northern Illinois Home Builders Association.

Whether you're in the market to build or searching for design ideas, come see what's new in luxury home design at this year's show.

From Sept. 7 through Sept. 17, many of the Chicago area's finest luxury builders will showcase more than 20 new home designs.

Lakewest Custom Homes, King's Court Builders, Airhart, Crestview, DJK and Shodeen are just a handful of the top luxury builders participating in this year's tour.

This scattered-site tour features homes peppered all throughout DuPage, Cook, Kane, Kendall, Will and LaSalle counties.

Attendees have an opportunity to view the latest in new home design, decor, energy-saving features and home technology.

Looking for the ultimate in lux? These homes are decked to the nines with sophisticated wine rooms, custom bars, tricked-out kitchens, grand great rooms and magnificent master suites with custom showers.

Forget about viewing ideas on your laptop or smartphone; walk through these homes and see firsthand all the upgrades and custom finishes. The flooring, the countertops, the cabinetry, millwork, fixtures, interior design ideas and more -- the possibilities are endless!

Homes range from charming 2,000-square-foot cottage homes to elaborate custom residences. There's something to meet nearly everyone's personal style and taste. In addition to cozy cottage homes, there are Tudor-style homes, Craftsman styles, Colonial styles and contemporary-style designs.

Tickets are $12 and can be purchased online or at the homes. And 40 percent of the proceeds go to two local charities -- Naperville Responds for Veterans and Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans.

All the sponsors and participants of the Cavalcade want to ensure that our veterans are not forgotten. Be sure to mark the Cavalcade Tour of Homes on your calendar from Sept. 7-17. Hours are 4-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
