Comedian Lewis Black to perform at ECC Arts Center March 21
Stand-up comedian Lewis Black's "The Joke's on US Tour" will hit the Elgin Community College Arts Center stage on March 21.
Tickets are now on sale for the 8 p.m. performance at the Arts Center located inside Building H on ECC's campus, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin. Prices range between $57 and $67 and tickets are available at tickets.elgin.edu or by calling (847) 622-0300.
Black's performance contains adult content and language. Dubbed the "King of the Rant," he skewers anything and anyone that gets under his skin with his trademark style of comedic yelling and animated finger-pointing.
Black frequently appears on Comedy Central and rose to prominence through his popular "Back in Black" segments on"The Daily Show." He has taped four specials for the "Comedy Central Presents" series, co-created "Last Laugh with Lewis Black" and "Lewis Black's The Root of All Evil." He also has released nine comedy albums, filmed two HBO specials, won two Grammy Awards, and received an Emmy nomination.
His acting credits include co-starring with Robin Williams in "Man of the Year," roles in "Accepted" and the ABC miniseries "Madoff," and playing the voice of "Anger" in the Academy Award-winning Pixar film "Inside Out." He has written three best-selling books: "Nothing's Sacred," "Me of Little Faith," and "I'm Dreaming of a Black Christmas."
