Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein brings his "World Abomination Tour" to BaseCamp Pub in Lisle. Associated Press

Doyle rules

The Afterlife ALT series brings rock god Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein (formerly of the Misfits) to Lisle for a night of skull-crushing rock. Along with Alex Story, Wade Murff and Brandon Strate, Doyle's “World Abomination Tour” doesn't so much explore the dark and heavy side of rock and metal as much as it blasts it to smithereens. If you like your rock deep, rough and sonically explosive, make sure you catch this show, featuring local support from Bumsy and the Moochers, The Run Around and DayTime Hooker.

8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at BaseCamp Pub, 5750 Lakeside Drive, Lisle. $15-$20. (331) 777-4712 or ticketweb.com.

Love for huskies

Join West suburban singer-songwriter Adam Linder as he performs for a good cause at Raven's Husky Haven and Rescue's annual benefit in Geneva. The evening, which includes dinner, a silent auction, vacation raffle and a whole lotta love for huskies, raises funds for the Sycamore organization, which provides grooming, rehabilitation, training and eventually homes for the rescued animals.

7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Riverside Receptions, 35 N. River Lane, Geneva. $50. (815) 508-8007 or ravenshuskyhavenandrescue.org.
