Cheap Trick, Lucky Boys Confusion to perform at Last Fling in Naperville
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Cheap Trick and DuPage County-native punk rockers Lucky Boys Confusion will be the Sept. 2 headliners at Naperville's Last Fling.
The bands will perform during the third day of the Naperville Jaycees annual Labor Day weekend celebration in downtown.
Tickets are $25 for general admission at http://lastfling.org/MainStage, $50 for access to a pit close to the stage and $125 for a VIP experience.
The event will bring to the stage at Rotary Hill along the Riverwalk the bands responsible for "Fred Astaire," "Bossman" and "Hey Driver," in Lucky Boys' case, and classics such as "I Want You to Want Me, "Surrender" and "Dream Police" from Cheap Trick.
Lucky Boys Confusion is slated as the opening act to begin at 7 p.m., with Cheap Trick's show set to start at 8:30 p.m.
Organizers say they plan to announce one more opening act soon to take the stage before Lucky Boys. VIP "Carillon Experience" ticketholders might be able to score a meet-and-greet with the members of that band, the Jaycees say.
Bands performing Friday, Aug. 31, and Saturday, Sept. 1, also have been announced, although music for Labor Day has not yet been publicized.
Aug. 31 features the POP 2000 Tour, hosted by Lance Bass of *NSYNC with performances by O-Town, Aaron Carter, Ryan Cabrera and Tyler Hilton beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $10.
Sept. 1 includes the Loudwire GEN-X Summer Tour with Buckcherry, P.O.D., Lit and Alien Ant Farm. Tickets start at $20.
