The Heritage will serve an intimate four-course lobster tasting menu this Valentine's Day. Love is brewing at Hofbräuhaus Chicago and the restaurant is celebrating with a unique Munich-style Valentine's Day menu Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 10-11, and Wednesday, Feb. 14. Dishes include Bayrische Kartoffelsuppe (creamy Bavarian potato soup with vegetables, frankfurters and croutons), Borschtsh-Suppe (Eastern European-style borscht with red beets, potatoes and red cabbage, topped with sour cream and dill), shrimp skewers, rib-eye steak served with bacon and onion-filled German pan-fried potatoes, sachertorte (a Viennese torte of dense chocolate cake layered with apricot glaze and topped with dark chocolate glaze) and Glühwein.

Executive chef Juan Luis Gonzales has created a four-course Valentine's Day pairing dinner to be served Wednesday, Feb. 14. Each course will be paired with a Casa Noble Tequila cocktail. Pairings include the gordita de requesón with El Noble, the tamal de pescado with a tequila sour, the camarones en mole de rosas with a Mago-politan, and pastel de cafe with a beso. Valentine's-themed martinis are featured Feb. 14 as part of The Martini Room's weekly Martini Flight Wednesdays (five mini martinis for $15). The French Kiss is Chambord raspberry liqueur, dark crème de cacao, vanilla vodka and cream served in a chocolate-drizzled glass with a raspberry garnish. Cupid's Error is sour apple schnapps, watermelon schnapps, Xrated Fusion Liqueur and peach schnapps with cranberry and orange juice. The Strawberry Shortcake consists of marshmallow vodka, strawberry schnapps, peach puree, cranberry juice and whipped cream in a graham cracker-rimmed glass with a strawberry garnish. The Kiss Me mixes together vanilla vodka, peach puree and pineapple juice with a layer of pomegranate liqueur on the bottom and a champagne float on top, garnished with a strawberry. The Spiced Chocolate is Godiva Dark Chocolate Liqueur, Kraken Black Spiced Rum, dark crème de cacao, Joker Judy Chocolate Walnut Bitters and Bailey's Irish Cream served in a chocolate-drizzled glass with a cocoa powder on the rim.

For the romantics out there, Sullivan's will be serving a special Valentine's Day menu called Love at First Bite. For $79 per person, the three-course prix fixe menu features the long-bone Berkshire pork chop with chipotle peach salsa, crab and basil-stuffed shrimp and bananas Foster bread pudding. This will be the only menu offered on Valentine's Day. The same special will be available Friday through Sunday, Feb. 9-11 and 16-18, in addition to the regular dinner menu.
