Night life events: Waukegan Wine & Art Stroll, Solemn Oath goes to the dogs Monday

Sip, stroll, shop

Head to downtown Waukegan for the 10th Annual Wine and Art Stroll Saturday. Participants receive a souvenir glass, a $10 gift certificate to use in the Main Street District, a wrist band and a program of participating locations with a map. The event includes wine tasting, food demonstrations, vendors, entertainment and deals from local businesses. Registration begins at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at Jack Benny Plaza, corner of Clayton and Genesee streets, Waukegan. Stroll runs 5 to 9 p.m. Tickets cost $22 for Waukegan Main Street members, $25 for nonmembers. waukeganmainstreet.org.

Beer with Bowser

Celebrate National Dog Day by taking your four-legged friend to Naperville's Solemn Oath Brewery for a special fundraiser on the taproom's new patio. There will be dog giveaways as well as raffles. Fifteen percent of the beer proceeds at the event, also sponsored by Naperville Animal Hospital, will benefit the Naperville Area Humane Society.
