Images: #TBT Gallery looks back 40 years to June 1977

We look back to a warm June 40 years ago in the Chicago suburbs.

Most schools were out for the summer, and kids were out trying to entertain themselves.

What you won't see in this #TBT Gallery is electronics. Nobody had a cellphone. Nobody had a computer. You won't even see a television in this collection.

Our photographers were outside, on the streets, in the parks, at the lakes and in the neighborhoods finding people enjoying the outdoors, even when it involved a dead car and live rats.
