U.S. should boycott 2022 Olympics in China

Sir Winston Churchill once said that "an appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last." Today, America faces a momentous choice: will we appease authoritarian China in their quest for global hegemony, and ensure the development of armed conflict, or will we avert war and assume the Churchillian approach by standing our ground for civil rights, democracy, and free will itself?

If we are to travel upon the noble path of human dignity and life, we must never appease a totalitarian regime. Therefore, I strongly implore the United States government, and our valorous athletes, to boycott the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022.

As it stands, the Chinese government has issued a warning to our country: do not boycott the games. However, the American people do not answer to foreign powers and our government will not reward threats from a regime seeking to undermine our democratic republic and very way of life. We do not answer to a regime that has murdered over 2 million Uighur Muslims and countless more innocent souls since Mao's Cultural Revolution.

We do not want a repeat of Berlin 1936, and quite frankly, the imperialistic geopolitical tactics of the Chinese Communist Party indicate that our nation is engaged in yet another universal war for the fate of free humanity. Our destiny rests in our hands. Do not appease dictators and autocrats as they will devour your nation, rights, and life.
