Electoral College protects small states

The Electoral College has always been a bone of contention for the Democrats. I just saw a report of Sen. Warren in Mississippi saying, "every vote must count." That is true, every vote must count. However, the people in the audience, who are cheering, are ignorant of the fact that getting rid of the Electoral College will make their votes less significant, or not matter at all.

Elizabeth Warren is not ignorant of why the electoral college was created, it's actually ingenious. But Senator Warren is using the catch phrase, "every vote must count" as a way to take advantage of the ignorance of her audience and how the Electoral College actually helps the people of Mississippi, a less populous state.

Without the Electoral College, the country would be run by the bigger and most populous states. And the smaller, less populous states will be left out in the cold, their votes won't matter. But the Electoral College makes the votes in smaller states more significant in a national election. And that's why the Democrats for years have promoted getting rid of the Electoral College.

There are a number of states that split their electoral votes depending on voting in that state, maybe that's an answer. But getting rid of the Electoral College would be a big mistake.

Liberalism, socialism, progressivism, they're all the same, and they're bad for America. Capitalism has brought more people out of poverty than any other ism. The liberal ideology is not something that says "we care about you and your life." It says, "we want to control your life."
