The qualifications for state office

The unsubstantiated attempted character assassination of Eddie Corrigan is deplorable. He has been endorsed by the Times, Tribune and Herald. Who has endorsed Katie Miller?

What of the other people pictured in her photos? Even if Mr. Corrigan has subjected himself to these types of ads, which is questionable at best, does that give her the right to impugn the others in the photos? Has been permission been obtained? I know in one case, it has not. Do these people have to answer questions in job interviews now? As an employer, I would be asking questions.

Also, where is the public outrage by the Irish American Community? It would appear to me that the celebration of someone's heritage should not be under attack. Did her campaign just move here from Antartica? This is a very strong community in the Chicago area. Do they dye the river red for St. Joseph or Casimir Pulaski?

And the criticism of his youth? Thank goodness someone is willing to contribute their time and energy regardless of their age. Mr. Corrigan has already worked in public service and would appear to want to continue to contribute. I would congratulate him on his efforts rather than disparage him.

Based on your ads as the opposite of these and others I see; are you qualified because you are old and own real estate? Based on these qualifications, so am I.
