It's important to focus on domestic abuse

In regards to Maureen McGuire's letter called "We need to talk about domestic violence too,": I agree with her and how we need to speak out about domestic abuse. Her letter brings up important issues that affect the equality and rights of women around the world.

We can't go on like this, it needs to be spoken out. Ignored, emotionally scarred, beaten, scared and manipulated women have been silent for too long. I believe that this problem needs to be brought to a serious light. In business, at school, and even in the government, people need to start talking about domestic abuse as a real problem. McGuire's association creates and establishes new ground in fixing this problem for good. Domestic abuse has been unstated as a social taboo that hides behind closed doors. If we, together, open those doors and help women stuck under these giant weights, the world will take another step forward in solving injustice.

The 50 percent of women in our population require the same courtesy as anyone else in the world. If we ignore these issue of domestic violence for too long it will manifest and create a monster on its own. This monster with eat away at the rights and respect given to all humans. I and so many agree with her, no women should suffer under domestic violence, and I will advocate as an individual for her cause.
