Pardon precedents
I am always amazed at liberals whose rudimentary knowledge of American history is so appalling. They want to know what protocol President Trump followed when he pardoned Mr. Arpaio? What protocol did President Ford follow when he pardoned Richard Nixon? Was Mr. Nixon convicted of a crime? Was he impeached as some liberals suggested? The answer to both is a resounding no.
What protocol did President Carter follow when he pardoned Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary fame for his statutory rape conviction? These uninformed liberals who think that some court can overturn a pardon have been smoking too much of the "wacky weed' again. Neither the legislative nor judicial branches of the government can overturn a presidential pardon because the Republicans would have reversed more than a few of Mr. Obama's pardons had they been able.
