Shakespeare revisited

A writer to the Daily Herald is concerned about too much coverage of gay issues, and cites Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet as an example of love between a man and woman. There are very few happy families in Shakespeare. Lady Macbeth goads Macbeth to murder. Hamlet's uncle Claudius kills his brother and then marries his brother's widow. Regan, King Lear's daughter, pulls out her father's friends eyes on stage. As for Juliet, she was 13. Romeo should be charged with child abuse.
