Palatine Library board is dedicated to search for new director
In response to the Aug. 8 letter about the search to fill the position of Library Director at Palatine Public Library District:
The Board of Library Trustees thanks Ms. Olander for her comments and concerns about leadership at Palatine Library. As elected officials, the board is privileged to find a candidate who possesses the qualifications, experience and spirit to continue our long-standing tradition of service to the community.
The board is conducting an exhaustive national search to fill this most important leadership role for the Palatine Library. Plans began in April, and the board hired consultants John Keister & Associates to conduct a customized professional search to identify, recruit and recommend candidates for the position.
