Let's try GoFundMe page for services

Illinois will continue using its power to raise taxes even though we pay the highest overall taxes in the country. This tax burden is hurting many people.

To justify the need for more revenue, they cut funding for services that create the most passion so they can use the funds elsewhere. Almost everyone has a particular service that they favor that has been cut.

Maybe Illinois should set up a GoFundMe website with the various services listed. Everyone could select the service they want to fund. All donations would be tax deductible and a receipt could be made available when the funds were deposited. The fund would be closed when the budget was fully funded.

If this program were successful, our politicians would need to make the long overdue changes to budget the remainder of tax dollars for other expenses.
