It's a sad time to be an American

Hardly a day goes by that Donald Trump doesn't take some opportunity to blame Barack Obama for all that ails the U.S. and the world. The accusations keep piling up to the point where I'm beginning to wonder why.

Is he trying to get even for the public lambasting Obama gave him at the Washington Press dinner a few years back? And by extension is he trying to punish the American people for electing Obama to office twice with sound victories?

Obama refrained from criticizing Bush for the disastrous Iraq invasion. Presidents normally refrain from criticizing their predecessor.

Our current president is a 70-year-old man who seems to be working out all his personal grievances on the world stage. In addition, he and his family and friends are taking every opportunity to make a buck off their positions of power.

It's a sad thing to witness, and a sad time to be an American.
