AbbVie executive named Archdiocese CFO

The Archdiocese of Chicago announced today the appointment of Paul Mannino as CFO.

Mannino joins the Archdiocese from AbbVie, where he was most recently finance director of corporate finance shared services, following several years as finance director of the pharmaceutical commercial division. Mannino reports to Betsy Bohlen, chief operating officer, and serves as a member of the senior leadership team for the Archdiocese.

In his role, Mannino will oversee all accounting and financial reporting for the Archdiocese, lead financial planning and analysis, and oversee day-to-day financial operations, as well as the operations of the internal savings and loan bank for parishes.

"We are thrilled to welcome Paul to our team at the Archdiocese," Bohlen said. "Paul's proven record of strong financial leadership will be an asset for the Archdiocese."

Mannino has more than 25 years of finance and accounting leadership experience. Prior to his work at AbbVie, Mannino was with Abbott Laboratories.

Mannino holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Michigan (Ann Arbor). He earned a Master's of Business Administration from University of Notre Dame.

The Archdiocese of Chicago, the third largest in the United States, serves more than 2.2 million Catholics in 344 parishes in Cook and Lake Counties, a geographic area of 1,411 square miles.
