Naperville realtor hosts charity drive for pet shelter

Beverly Sivek, broker/owner of Weichert, Realtors Advantage, Naperville is hosting a donation drive for A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter. Donated items can be dropped off at Weichert, Realtors Advantage, 221 W. Jefferson Ave., Naperville.

"We are so thankful to Beverly for putting this supply drive together for A.D.O.P.T. Through the support of our community we are able to make a difference for the homeless animals in our community and beyond," said A.D.O.P.T Pet Shelter Director, Chris Stirn.

The shelter is in need of many items, with Beverly's drive focusing on cleaning supplies: Dawn dish soap, unscented liquid laundry, detergent, laundry bleach, baggies (sandwich and gallon size), garbage bags (13 and 30 gal.), 50-gallon heavy-duty drum liners, paper towels, disposable vinyl gloves (no latex), spray cleaner (pet safe), mop heads, trigger spray bottles, medical supplies and rubbing alcohol.

A.D.O.P.T. is a private, "no-kill," non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that has found homes for more than 20,000 pets. It provides a temporary, loving home for dogs and cats that no longer have a family of their own. A.D.O.P.T. was founded in 1989 by a group of dedicated volunteers determined to find homes for animals in need.

Sivek has been a real estate agent in Naperville and the surrounding communities since 1985 and has been with Weichert since 2007. Weichert, Realtors Advantage specializes in residential real estate in DuPage, Kendall, Will, Kane and Cook counties.
