Trustmark Companies names new board member

LAKE FOREST - Kevin Slawin, managing director of Black Diamond Advisory Services, has been elected to the board of directors of Trustmark Mutual Holding Company.

Slawin is involved with private equity transactions at Black Diamond Advisory Services. Prior to Black Diamond, Slawin served as executive vice president, marketing and distribution at FBL Financial Group, the publicly traded management company of Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company and Farm Bureau Property & Casualty Insurance Company. In addition to his responsibilities leading marketing and distribution, Slawin was a member of management's Executive Committee and Chairman of the Life Advisory Board and Member Benefits Committees.

Slawin also held several leadership positions during a 14-year career at The Allstate Corp., where he was a member of management's executive committee at Allstate Financial Group. At Allstate Financial, his roles included president of distribution, chief financial officer, head of operations and technology, and CEO, Allstate Bank.

Slawin holds a bachelor of science degree from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, and a masters of management earned at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.

"He's successfully served in a variety of C-suite roles, where he has led businesses, driven corporate strategy, developed marketing driven cultures, increased sale force production and effectively leveraged technology to open up new opportunities. That range of leadership experience, and in particular his financial expertise and leadership of financial organizations, will help him quickly become a valuable addition to Trustmark's board."
