Discover recognized as a CIO 100 Award winner

RIVERWOODS - Discover Financial Services has been selected as a recipient of the 2017 CIO 100 award.

The 30th annual award program recognizes organizations that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology.

"Fueled by convenience and ease-of-use, consumers are driving significant growth in digital payments," said Glenn Schneider, executive vice president and chief information officer at Discover. "To quickly enable innovative mobile, web or IoT payment methods, Discover created a state-of-the-art, flexible platform to support seamless integration with new digital payments partners."

Using scaled agile and automated testing frameworks, Discover built a reusable platform to simultaneously enable multiple digital payments partners with minimal intervention. The cloud-based solution utilizes standardized services and open APIs for faster testing and deployment. Discover made it a top priority to ensure delivery of an efficient and scalable solution for digital payments partners.

Executives from the winning companies will be recognized at The CIO 100 Symposium & Awards Ceremony, to be held Aug. 16 at the Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
