Naper Nights concerts include tributes to Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Foo Fighters, Weezer

Naper Settlement's Naper Nights Community Concert Series continues this month with tributes to Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Foo Fighters, and Weezer from 5-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 14-15. A variety of food and alcoholic beverages will be available at each concert.

The nation's number one touring Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute band, Red NOT Chili Peppers, will take the Naper Nights stage for the second year in a row from 8-10 p.m. July 14. Opening for Red NOT Chili Peppers will be Fooz Fighters performing a Foo Fighters tribute from 6-7:30 p.m. On July 15, Weeze will perform a tribute to Weezer from 6-7:30 p.m., and The American Idiots will play a tribute to Green Day from 8-10 p.m.

Both Naper Nights concerts will open the night with local students from the School of Rock playing their favorites on stage from 5-5:40 p.m.

Local food vendors include Fogo de Chao, John's Rib House, Little Pops Pizzeria, Guzman Y Gomez, Ben & Jerry's, and Hello Boba.

There will be beer selections from Alter Brewing Company, wine selections from Rodney Strong Vineyards, and organic tequila seltzers from Freshie.

A children's area with activities provided by Pinot's Palette, Daily Apple Face Painting, WickedBall Chicago, KidStrong, and Naper Settlement will also be on site.

Each night, all tips collected at the beverage tents benefit a local organization. Tips on Friday benefit the Naperville Jaycees, and Saturday's tips will go to the Naperville Junior Woman's Club.

Inspired by Andy Warhol's paintings of Campbell's soup, Naper Settlement has partnered with the Cleve Carney Museum of Art at College of DuPage's Andy Warhol Portfolios: A Life in Pop exhibit and Loaves and Fishes for a canned food drive at Naper Nights. Attendees can bring food or a personal care item donation to any Naper Nights concert and drop them off in Naper Settlement's Warhol-inspired soup can display.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for youths (ages 4-12). Members and children younger than 4 receive complimentary admission. For information and tickets, visit NaperNights.org.
