Indigent dead to be buried in Chicago

CHICAGO (AP) - A ceremony to bury the indigent dead, the dead who were never identified and others will be held at a Catholic cemetery in Chicago.
The Archdiocese of Chicago says the ceremony will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery on Wednesday afternoon and will include a procession in which representatives from mortuaries will accompany the caskets to the gravesite. The ceremony is one of two that the archdiocese and Cook County officials hold each year.
Wednesday's committal service will include the burial of two unidentified persons, the cremated remains of 75 indigent people and 24 fetal remains.
Mt. Olivet Cemetery is located on Chicago's southwest side. The ceremony will begin at 1:15 p.m.
