Florida State receiver Murray to miss remainder of spring

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida State's Nyqwan Murray will miss the remainder of spring practice due to an injury to his left knee.

Coach Willie Taggart said Friday that the senior wide receiver tore the meniscus during a non-contract drill on Wednesday, which was the Seminoles' first practice.

Murray is the team's leading returning receiver from last season. He led the team in receiving yards (604) and was tied in receptions (40) along with scoring four touchdowns.

Murray's injury leaves Florida State thin at receiver for the remainder of the spring. The only scholarship receivers remaining on the roster are juniors George Campbell and Keith Gavin along with sophomore D.J. Matthews.
