No. 2 Mississippi State women roll in SEC Tournament

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Roshunda Johnson scored 20 points, and No. 2 Mississippi State remained undefeated by routing Kentucky 81-58 on Friday in the Southeastern Conference quarterfinals.

The Bulldogs (31-0) extended the nation's longest winning streak and are trying to add their first tournament title to the regular-season crown. They will play No. 15 Texas A&M for a third consecutive spot in the final.

Victoria Vivians added 17 points, and Blair Schaefer had 15, tying her career-high with five 3-pointers. Taylor Murray led Kentucky (15-17) with 15 points.

No. 4 LOUISVILLE 73, VIRGINIA TECH 70

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Myisha Hines-Allen had 21 points and 10 rebounds and Louisville hold off Virginia Tech in the Atlantic Coast Conference quarterfinals.

Newly crowned ACC player Asia Durr struggled with just 11 points on 3-for-19 shooting for the top-seeded Cardinals (30-2). They will face No. 23 North Carolina State in the semifinals.

Taylor Emery had 27 points for Virginia Tech (18-13).

No. 5 NOTRE DAME 83, VIRGINIA 47

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Marina Mabrey scored 24 points to help Notre Dame beat Virginia in the Atlantic Coast Conference quarterfinals.

Arike Ogunbowale added 16 points for the second-seeded Fighting Irish (28-2) in their 13th straight victory. Trying to become the second league team to win five straight tournament titles, Notre Dame will face No. 11 Florida State in the semifinals.

Aliyah Huland El scored 13 points for the Cavaliers (18-13).

No. 6 OREGON 84, COLORADO 47

SEATTLE (AP) - Satou Sabally scored 21 points, and Lexi Bando added 19 to help Oregon beat Colorado in the Pac-12 quarterfinals.

The regular-season champion Ducks (28-4) will face No. 9 UCLA in the semifinals.

Mya Hollingshed had 20 points for Colorado (15-16).

No. 8 SOUTH CAROLINA 73, No. 12 TENNESSEE 62

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A'ja Wilson had 24 points and 12 rebounds coming off the bench and South Carolina beat Tennessee in the Southeastern Conference quarterfinals.

The Gamecocks (24-6) are back in the semifinals as they chase a record fourth straight tournament title. They will play No. 19 Georgia.

Anastasia Hayes led Tennessee (24-7) with 17 points.

No. 9 UCLA 77, CALIFORNIA 74

SEATTLE (AP) - Jordin Canada scored 27 points and UCLA held California scoreless for more than two minutes down the stretch to escape with the Pac-12 quarterfinal victory.

Mikayla Cowling's pull-up jumper put Cal up 69-68 with 2:40 remaining, but the Bruins responded with six consecutive points, going up 74-69 on two free throws by Canada with 38 seconds left. Kianna Smith hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer for Cal. UCLA (24-6) will face sixth-ranked Oregon in the semifinals.

Cowling had 16 points for Cal (21-10).

ARIZONA STATE 57, No. 10 OREGON STATE 51

SEATTLE (AP) - Courtney Ekmark scored 18 points and Arizona State held Oregon State without a field goal over the final 5:14 in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 Tournament.

Arizona State missed its first nine shots of the fourth quarter, but the Beavers managed just a pair of baskets for a 50-44 lead.

Kianna Ibis finally connected for the Sun Devils with 3:38 remaining, triggering the game-ending 13-1 run.

Arizona State (21-11) advanced to Saturday's semifinals against No. 16 Stanford (21-9), which beat Southern California 69-59.

No. 11 FLORIDA STATE 73, MIAMI 69

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Imani Wright scored 20 points and Florida State held off Miami in the Atlantic Coast Conference quarterfinals.

The third-seeded Seminoles (25-5) have won seven of their last eight games, and will play fifth-ranked Notre Dame in the semifinals.

Emese Hof had 21 points for Miami (21-10).

No. 13 OHIO STATE 82, RUTGERS 57

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Kelsey Mitchell scored 22 points, Stephanie Mavunga added 18 and Ohio State cruised into the Big Ten semifinals for the fifth straight year.

The top-seeded Buckeyes (26-6) will face Minnesota.

Tyler Scaife led Rutgers (20-12) with 13 points.

No. 19 GEORGIA 55, No. 14 MISSOURI 41

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Que Morrison scored 16 points Georgia beat Missouri in the Southeastern Conference quarterfinals.

Georgia (25-5) will face eighth-ranked South Carolina in the semifinals.

Jordan Frericks led Missouri (24-7) with 10 points.

No. 15 TEXAS A&M 75, No. 24 LSU 69

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Chennedy Carter scored 27 points, a Texas A&M record in a Southeastern Conference Tournament game, to help the Aggies reach the semifinals.

Texas A&M (24-8) will face second-ranked Mississippi State on Saturday.

Ayana Mitchell had Mitchell had 17 points and 11 rebounds, and Raigyne Williams also scored 17 points for LSU (19-9).

No. 16 STANFORD 69, SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA 59

SEATTLE (AP) - Kiana Williams scored 18 points, Alanna Smith added 14 and Stanford never trailed against Southern California in the Pac-12 quarterfinals.

The Cardinal (21-9) will face Arizona State in the semifinals.

Aliyah Mazyck had 22 points for Southern California (20-11).

No. 17 MARYLAND 67, INDIANA 54

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Kaila Charles scored 24 points and Maryland held Indiana scoreless over the final minute in the Big Ten quarterfinals.

Maryland (24-6) will face Nebraska in the semifinals.

Amanda Cahill had 17 points for Indiana (17-14).

No. 22 BELMONT 63, JACKSONVILLE STATE 53

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Darby Maggard scored 20 points and Belmont tied the school record set last season with its 21st straight victory, pulling away from Jacksonville State in the Ohio Valley semifinals.

Kylee Smith added 19 points for the top-seeded Bruins (30-3) in their 45th straight win over OVC opponents. They will face Tennessee-Martin in the title game.

Kiana Johnson and Tasha Magruder each had 10 points for the Gamecocks (19-12).

No. 23 NORTH CAROLINA STATE 51, No. 18 DUKE 45

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Chelsea Nelson had an Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament-record 22 rebounds and scored 15 points in North Carolina State's quarterfinal victory.

The fifth-seeded Wolfpack (24-7) will face No. 4 Louisville in the semifinals.

Lexie Brown led Duke (22-8) with 16 points.

No. 25 MERCER 81, SAMFORD 44

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Kahlia Lawrence scored 23 points and top-seeded Mercer advanced to the Southern Conference title game for the third straight year.

The Bears (29-2), who tied the program record for wins with its 26th straight victory, will go for its first title in four years on Sunday against second-seeded East Tennessee State.

Olivia Crozier had 13 points for the Bulldogs (15-16).
