Mazyck, Simon lead USC women past Colorado in finale

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Aliyah Mazyck scored 24 points, Kristen Simon had a double-double and USC took control in the third quarter to close the regular season on Saturday with a 65-53 win over Colorado.

Simon had 16 points and 11 rebounds, her fourth straight double-double and the 30th of her career. Minyon Moore added 15 points for the Trojans (19-10, 9-9 Pac-12 Conference). Mazyck, who also had nine rebounds, made five 3-pointers, giving her 85 this season to tie Ashley Corral's USC single-season record.

Quinessa Caylao-Do scored the last two baskets of the first half to give Colorado a 27-25 lead. The Trojans opened the second half with seven straight points and turned that into a 14-3 run, Moore, Mazyck and Simon combining for all the points. The trio had all the points in an 11-3 run that made it 58-43 with 5:20 to play.

Kennedy Leonard led the Buffaloes (14-15, 5-13) with 19 points.
