More snow coming, just not as much as Friday

CHICAGO (AP) - Weather forecasters say communities from Chicago to Detroit probably won't see as much snow over the weekend as they did Friday but it's still too early to put those snow shovels away.

Friday's storm that dumped about six inches of snow in Chicago on Friday and prompted schools in the region to close and the airlines to cancel at least 1,000 flights was tapering off Saturday morning. Another 1 to three inches of snow is expected Saturday and the forecasters are expecting the same amount on Sunday.

It's a similar story in Detroit. After nearly nine inches of snow fell Friday, more snow is expected. But there won't be nearly as much snow on Saturday and no more than 3 inches of snow is expected Sunday.
