1 arrested after burglars drive SUV into Anderson gun store

ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) - Police say one man is under arrest after two burglars crashed an SUV into a central Indiana gun store and stole a number of weapons.

Anderson Police Maj. Joel Sandefur says an 18-year-old Anderson man was apprehended Tuesday in Muncie. Police believe at least one other suspect remains at large.

The Herald Bulletin reports the SUV created a hole Sunday night at Crack Shot Guns that was large enough for the burglars to walk through.

Sandefur says the suspects grabbed handguns and rifles before escaping in another vehicle. Surveillance video inside the store captured images of the break-in.

Store owner Joe Key says he's cooperating fully with police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
