Dean propels No. 14 UCLA to 93-55 win over Colorado

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Japreece Dean sank five 3-pointers and got a career-high 21 points to propel No. 14 UCLA to a 93-55 win over Colorado on Sunday.

The Bruins (13-4, 4-2 Pac-12) took control early, opening the game with a deep 3-pointer from Kelli Hayes to spark a 16-0 run for their best start in a game this season. Colorado (11-6, 2-4) was held to just nine points in the opening quarter, all coming in the final 4:14.

In the second quarter, the Buffaloes got a pair of 3-pointers from Alexis Robinson and Kennedy Leonard also had one from long range but never threatened as UCLA continued to pull away, taking a 52-28 advantage.

Jordin Canada added 10 points and dished out 11 assists for UCLA, becoming the first women's player in Pac-12 history to record 1,800 career points and 700 assists. Hayes finished with 13 points, Kennedy Burke had 12 and Monique Billings hauled in 11 rebounds.

Colorado, which has lost two straight, was led by Leonard's 12 points.
