No. 20 Cal women beat USC 76-64 to run win streak to 7 games

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Kristine Anigwe tallied her third double-double of the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds and No. 20 California rolled to its seventh straight win, beating Southern California 76-64 in a Pac-12 Conference opener on Friday night.

Penina Davidson scored 11 of her 15 points in the fourth quarter for the Golden Bears (10-2), who beat USC for the third straight time. Mikayla Cowling scored 13 with five assists and reserve Jaelyn Brown added 10 points.

Kristen Simon finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Trojans (10-2). It was her 19th career double-double. Minyon Moore added 14 points and five assists and Aliyah Mazyck had 13 points and six rebounds.

Cal held the Trojans to 38 percent shooting from the floor and 17 percent from 3-point range. The Golden Bears hit 26 of 57 from the floor (46 percent) and 37 percent (7 of 19) from beyond the arc.
