RENO, Nev. (AP) - Kia Nurse scored 27 points, hitting all eight of her 3-point attempts, and Gabby Williams added 18 points in her homecoming to help No. 1 UConn beat Nevada 88-57 on Tuesday night.
It was a season-high for Williams, who was playing her first game at Nevada's Lawlor Events Center since she her high school team to a state title in 2012. Her father, Matt, and sister, Kayla, both played basketball at Nevada.
Azura Stevens added 17 points and 14 rebounds for the Huskies (6-0), who shot 63 percent from the field.
It was the highest-ranked team that Nevada ever played and the game drew 7,815 fans - the most in state history for a women's game.
UConn jumped out to a 31-12 lead after the first quarter, but Nevada (3-3) didn't go away. The Wolf Pack constantly challenged the Huskies and got them to turn the ball over 17 times.
Teige Zeller led Nevada with 17 points.
No. 7 UCLA 68, UC RIVERSIDE 48
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Monique Billings had 14 points and 12 rebounds for her third double-double of the season, and UCLA defeated UC Riverside.
Kelli Hayes added 12 points and Jordin Canada 10 points for the Bruins (6-1), who have won three in a row since their lone loss to top-ranked UConn last week.
Michelle Curry was the only player in double figures with 15 points for the Highlanders (1-6), who committed a season-worst 25 turnovers.
Six different players scored as the Bruins built a 66-40 lead in the fourth, capped by a 3-pointer from Kayla Owens, one of five freshmen who got major minutes.
No. 10 OREGON 87, HAMPTON 45
EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Oti Gildon had career highs of 20 points and 12 rebounds, and Satou Sabally added 18 points to help Oregon roll to a victory over Hampton.
Gildon, a junior making her first start in 74 games, replaced Ruthy Hebard in the lineup for the Ducks (6-1). Hebard, Oregon's second-leading scorer, sat out the game with a protective boot on her right foot.
Sabrina Ionescu also had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Lexi Bandon had 11 points.
Allina Starr led the Pirates (2-4) with 12 points.
No. 18 TEXAS A&M 98, PRAIRIE VIEW A&M 70
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Khaalia Hillsman had 20 points, on 8-of-12 shooting, and nine rebounds to help the Texas A&M women beat Prairie View A&M.
Danni Williams hit three 3-pointers and finished with 15 points, Jasmine Lumpkin scored 13 and Chennedy Carter added 12 points for Texas A&M (5-1).
Williams hit back-to-back 3s to make it 10-2 and the Aggies never trailed. Hillsman converted a 3-point play to spark a 9-0 run that pushed the lead into double figures for good and TAMU led 49-27 at the break.
The Aggies shot 35 of 72 (49 percent) from the field and made more free throws (24) than Prairie View attempted (21).
Shala Dobbins had 19 points and eight rebounds, Jordyn Penniman had 16 points and Dominique Newman scored 13 for PVAMU (2-4).
No. 23 MARQUETTE 92, LOYOLA-CHICAGO 30
MILWAUKEE (AP) - Amani Wilborn had 19 points and nine rebounds, and Marquette used a 28-1 second quarter to beat winless Loyola-Chicago.
Marquette set a program record with its 62-point margin of victory.
Marquette opened the game with a 15-2 run, scored 26 unanswered points to start the second quarter and had a 57-12 halftime lead. The Ramblers also didn't make a field goal in an 18-5 third quarter.
Erika Davenport added 14 points for Marquette (3-2). Danielle King and Allazia Blockton both scored 13 points, and Natisha Hiedeman had seven assists.
Abby O'Connor led Loyola (0-5) with 11 points and Jessica Cerda added nine. Kailyn Strawbridge, who leads the team with a 14.3 average, was 0 of 6 from the field and didn't score. The Ramblers were held to 10-of-49 shooting (20.4 percent) and turned it over 26 times.
