Coroner IDs 2 men found shot dead in Decatur mobile home

DECATUR, Ill. (AP) - The Macon County coroner has identified two men found fatally shot in a Decatur mobile home.

The (Decatur) Herald and Review reports Thursday that the coroner identified the victims as 43-year-old Michael E. Roberts-Mathenia and 34-year-old Johnathan T. Ballance. Coroner Michael Day says the men died Tuesday of multiple gunshot wounds and were hit in the head, neck and torso. They were found in the mobile home's front room.

Decatur police arrested a 20-year-old man Wednesday on preliminary charges of first-degree murder. Police say they are continuing to investigate the killings.
