Des Plaines 62 hosting open houses for online registration
Des Plaines Elementary District 62 will host open houses to help families who have questions or need internet access for the district's new online registration system. The district will provide devices and translators to register students.
Any new students or students entering kindergarten will use the existing paper registration process. Parents and guardians will also be asked to sign students up for transportation to plan bus routes.
Families able to register without support need not attend. Here are dates for the optional open houses:
• April 25 at Central Elementary, 1526 E. Thacker St.: 8-10 a.m.; 3-6 p.m.
• April 25 at South Elementary, 1535 Everett Ave.: 8-10 a.m.; 3-6 p.m.
• April 26 at Terrace Elementary, 735 S. Westgate Road: 8-10 a.m.; 3-6 p.m.
• April 26 at Cumberland Elementary, 700 E. Golf Road: 8-10 a.m.; 3-6 p.m.
• April 27 at Plainfield Elementary, 1850 Plainfield Drive: 8-10 a.m.; 3-6 p.m.
• April 27 at Chippewa Middle, 123 N. 8th Ave.: 6-8 p.m.
• April 29 at Algonquin Middle, 767 E. Algonquin Road: 9-12 p.m.
• May 2 at Forest Elementary, 1375 S. 5th Ave.: 8-10 a.m.; 3-6 p.m.
• May 2 at North Elementary, 1789 Rand Road: 8-10 a.m.; 3-6 p.m.
• May 3 at Algonquin Middle, 767 E. Algonquin Road: 7-9 a.m.
• May 4 at Orchard Place, 2727 Maple St.: 8-10 a.m.; 3-6 p.m.
