College of Lake County hosts events to celebrate Earth Week
College of Lake County will host a number of Earth Week activities that are free and open to the public starting Thursday, April 13.
Officials said the events will run through April 24 at CLC's campuses. They include a cleanup of the flagship Grayslake campus from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Participants are asked to meet outside the James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts and should wear work clothes and shoes, along with gloves.
From noon to 1 p.m. Monday, April 17, Rory Klick, chair of CLC's horticulture department, will explain how a homeowner can incorporate food into home landscape in beautiful, practical ways - beyond the back of the lot. The session will be in Room A011.
