A Beach Park man faces multiple domestic battery charges after Lake County deputies said Monday that he injured someone within his home over the weekend. Lake County Sheriff's Deputies were called at about 7 p.m. Saturday to a home in the 37600 block of North Lake Crest Street for a reported domestic battery, Lake County officials said in a news release. Security officer on leave after dragging man off United flight

One Chicago Department of Aviation security officer has been put on leave after a passenger was injured while being ejected for refusing to give up his seat Sunday evening on a flight from Chicago to Kentucky. Aurora man who touched women's feet in libraries gets 6 years

An Aurora man is heading to prison for inappropriately touching women's feet in separate cases at the Warrenville Public Library and North Central College's library in Naperville. Omar Carlton, 45, of the 1000 block of Fifth Avenue, was sentenced Monday to six years in prison by DuPage County Judge Daniel Guerin. Full story.

Judge's murder in Chicago prompts increased security at Rolling Meadows courthouse

The chief judge of the Rolling Meadows courthouse asked for increased security at the building after a Cook County criminal court judge was murdered in front of his South Side Chicago home early Monday. Associate Judge Raymond Myles, 66, was shot multiple times at about 5 a.m. He was assigned to Chicago's Leighton Criminal Courthouse. Full story.
