Seat opens on Palatine Township Fire Protection District board

A seat on the Palatine Township Rural Fire Protection District board is opening up May 1 and the township is seeking applicants for the position.

"We are seeking candidates who have a passion for the community," Palatine Township Supervisor Sharon Langlotz-Johnson said.

Township Administrator Ken Lopez said current board member William S. Murray's second three-year term is up at the end of the month.

"The township likes to see candidates serve a maximum of two terms," Lopez said.

Resumes will be accepted until Monday, April 17. Applicants must live within the Palatine Township limits, and can email resumes to: sljohnson@palatinetownship.com.
