Mount Prospect Friends of the Library hosts spring book sale

The Mount Prospect Friends of the Library's spring book sale is April 21, 22 and 23 at the Mount Prospect Public Library, 10 S. Emerson St.

Revenue from used book sales helps support various library programs. In 2016, the Friends contributed more than $42,000 to the library.

This sale will celebrate 75 years of Little Golden Books with a large birthday card patrons may sign. The sale will feature individually priced Better Books in Meeting Room A and the 25-cent sale in Meeting Room B. Downstairs, the Friends Sale book room has other hard-bound books, puzzles, children and paperbacks priced at $1 or less.

Friday, April 21, will be a Friends Member Only night from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The free general public sale will be April 22, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and noon to 4 p.m. April 23.

The Friends will have a special military book sale Saturday, May 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the library.
